In Greece, as in all countries of the Mediterranean basin, the wine tradition is particularly rich. The wine is not only connected with the eating habits of the Greek, but also with religious and folk traditions and cultural heritage.

To preserve and enhance this heritage developed a special form of rural tourism, Wine Routes, proposed the visitor to follow a carefully selected route, which traverses the most scenic spots of a wine region to visit selected wineries units to test local wines served with traditional flavors of the region and to wander in traditional villages, archaeological sites, etc.

This is a relatively new form of tourism , in total harmony with the natural environment and well organized, aiming at substantial acquaintance with any place in the tradition of viticulture and winemaking . Along the routes, restaurants, taverns, ouzo and hotels offer quality accommodation and complete acquaintance with Greece and its culture.
